Just as he was about to face his opponent the hit landed, he saw stars for a moment before collapsing to the ground he couldn't see where his knife had fallen. He brought himself to his hands and knees, the world still staggering around him.
"Y-you think these things are monsters?" he huffed, "You oughta look in a mirror sometime."

Taking a few steadying steps himself, the hunter brought a hand up to his face. Rubbing his sore jaw, he quickly realized that the blow had split his lip. Letting out a gruff laugh he turned back to the young man who was sputtering on the ground. "You've got a lot of spirit, boy." He paused to spit out the taste of blood that lingered on his tongue. "Pity you're playin' on the side of the devil."
Pushing his coat back he returned the knife to it's sheath beside it's counterpart at his back. In doing so, he flashed the impressive arsenal of throwing knives that he kept within the interior of the trench.
"I'll give it to you this time, boy. You made me bleed, that was more than I was expectin'. Just stay out of my way in the future or I'll introduce you to 'God's Word'." The cat was probably long gone by now. In reality as soon as the boy had startled it, his chance to purge it from the earth was lost. But he had bigger fish to fry and there would always be demons to exercise in other parts of town.

"I'd rather associate with the devil than men like you." he spat "an the reason is men like you." He shut up when he saw the collection of knives in the man's jacket. This guy was loaded. Clyde noticed the taste of blood on his own tongue as he started coming back to his senses. He looked up once again at the man who'd downed him and decided he would remember that face. Decided he'd warn all of his friends about that face.
"An for gods sake wash yer fuckin hair" he huffed. "You look terrible." at least the cat got away though, at least this yard where his mother rested wouldn't be polluted by more spilled blood. He yanked his knife out of the ground and struggled to his feet. He began to slink away into the night, the direction of home.
